Brooklinen Santa Monica

TIRAR’s Type 1 1200 door-pull in American White Oak, is as appealing as the fresh and exhilarating backdrop of the Californian landscape that is seen through the frameless glass door that it delicately extends from in the recent interior design project by the Brooklyn based Office of Tangible Space design studio. Its seamless fit, sleek and slender form an ethereal presence as it appears to suspend in the air surrounded by the external and internal shades of blue, white, golden-brown and sunshine-yellow in Brooklinen’s Santa Monica store.

Designed by the talented duo Kelley Perumbeti and Michael Yarinsky whose method of creativity is “grounded in a human-centric approach that is achieved through warmth and materiality”, it is both a warm and welcoming interior. Which works wonderfully for the sumptuous products found in the bright and uplifting ambience that has a pleasant earthiness brought by the alluring American White Oak display cabinets, panelling and touches of emerald-green plants finely placed around Brooklinen’s California store.

Office of Tangible Space’s focus on “warmth and materiality” with the individual in mind is one of a number of reasons they chose TIRAR’s expertise in creating exquisite works of art from timber to provide the bespoke door-furniture for their Brooklinen project. TIRAR’s elegant and finely sculpted Type 1 1200 door-pull is the first encounter the customer has with the warmth unique to natural materials, and their first sensory experience through touch of the luxury that comes only from the finest quality materials, some of which are to be found instore. For it is in this initial interaction that the message of the quality of the experience to come is conveyed.
