Tirar, being champions of sustainability and fine artistry in door furniture, has become the door furniture of choice in many of the recent interior and architectural projects. They are recognised by many architect studios for acquiring their inspiration from nature’s own beauty – lovingly, respectfully and meticulously creating reinterpretations of her gifts into wonderfully appealing works of architectural art.
On entering the offices of award-winning Hammond Studio, where Tirar is a feature, you are met with the reassuring and comforting tones of autumn which are brilliantly contrasted with neutral tones and vibrant blue hues in the form of, for instance, the true blue of Marc Newson’s beautifully sculpted Orgone chair. This superbly spacious interior magically imparts a sense of comfort and cosiness. This is due, in part, to the wonderful walnut timber which is a major part of the project.
Located in Australia’s uber-cool Surry Hills, known for its culinary delights, fine dining and flourishing bars, you may, at first, feel as though you are attending an exclusive first time viewing of an art collector’s finest acquisitions at their world famous gallery.
Lashings of light enter through stupendous windows to illuminate the walkways and desk areas, while working with the internal lighting to further enhance all of the incredible elements that are part of this ‘architectural art-installation’. Its capacious layout allowing you to step back to admire each work, and which beckons you to areas, where you will encounter the mesmerising etchings of the office’s marble detail parading as fine art rather than the humble task it has been assigned to.
Or perhaps you find yourself in a sensory experience involving Tirar’s sublime door lever, slender and seductive in walnut, with its exquisitely smooth and sensual design fitting your hand so well that you could be forgiven for wanting to hold onto its exceptional form for longer than needed.
Admired for their intricate designs which emanate sensuality, elegance and intricacy, Tirar has become the door furniture of choice for architects and interior designers in both commercial and residential locations, and as can be seen here, also in their very own superbly designed studios.
